3 Easy Ways to Waste Less

Stricter environmental regulation decreased the number of landfills from 7,924 to 1,654 between 1988 and 2005, meaning we have fewer but bigger landfills.   1. You can use less plastic. Keep reusable cloth bags with you or in your vehicle at all times. They’ll be ready for you whenever you’re picking up a few items or doing a larger grocery trip!

  2. You can buy second-hand clothing from retailers like Savers, which carries inexpensive, decent quality and even brand-name, barely used items. Or visit Habitat for Humanity’s Habitat ReStores for salvaged materials to use in your next home improvement project.
