How EnAct Works
Are you:
- Interested in improving the environment, but are busy or don't know where to start?
- Curious about the word "sustainability" and what it could mean in your life?
- Already living a green life, but not sure you are making a difference?
- Seeking to build community in your workplace, neighborhood, or place of worship and think that taking action on behalf of the Earth would be a good way to start?
If your answer to any of these is yes, then EnAct is for you.
EnAct is an action-oriented book club to help people live a greener life and to build community. Most people go through the program by recruiting a team, but you can also work through it on your own.
The “EnAct: Steps to Greener Living” book is our key tool and is designed to help you take specific actions for a more sustainable life. It is available for sale
from EnAct and at local booksellers.
"EnAct: Steps to Greener Living" is also available for
free download here. (Please note that it is not formatted for optimal printing, so kindly view it onscreen and print only the pages you need.)
Since our program began in 2003, the average annual savings per EnAct household is:
- 1.5 fewer tons of CO2 emitted
- 12,500 less gallons of water used
- 196 fewer pounds of garbage created
- 1,400 less miles driven
- $346 saved
